By naming Hafiz Saeed's Jama'at-ud-Da'wah and its charity wing named Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation, the National Counter Terrorism Authority has updated the list. The move came after the Ministry of Interior issued a notification and had also announced a "preventive custody" of 44 members of banned outfits. The detained, reportedly also includes the name of Jaish-e-Mohammed Chief Masood Azhar's brother Abdul Rauf Asghar.
India had previously alleged that the JuD was involved in anti-India activities, including the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. Earlier today, Pakistani Minister of States had said that the government was not acting against the members of banned outfits under any kind of pressure. He had also said that they never had and also never will act under any pressure.
India has been after Massod Azhar, since he claimed the responsibility of Pulwama teroor attack which claimed the lives of 40 CRPF Jawans. India has been seeking to designate him as a global terrorist after the heinous attack.
