In 2021, the National Doctors Day will be celebrated by praising the efforts of doctors in fighting the global pandemic. The coronavirus vaccine is developed, but the frontline warriors have been fighting the disease bare-handed from the very onset of a pandemic.
History of National Doctor's Day
The National Doctor's Day was first observed in Winder,
Georgia on 30 March 1933. However, it was designated as National Doctor's Day
in 1990 by George Bush.

The idea of celebrating National Doctor's Day came from Eudora Brown Almond. Eudora Almond was the wife of Doctor Charles B. Almond. Her idea was to honor the physicians and the date chosen for that was 30 March, the anniversary of the first use of anesthesia in surgery.
Last year, many praised the contribution of doctors and physicians in fighting the coronavirus pandemic. Sundar Pichai, New York Governor, and others took Twitter to appreciate the medical fraternity. While observing National Doctor's Day 2021, people are tweeting and requesting others to celebrate National Doctor's Day by wishing doctors and sending flowers or gift cards to them.
