Samyukta Kisan Morcha, an umbrella organization of the protesting farmers in Delhi has announced a countrywide roadblock or "chakka-jam" on February 6.
According to reports, the SKM has announced nationwide roadblock in a protest against the suspension of internet at protest site and in several districts of Haryana.
The farmers protesting against the contentious farm laws will block National and State Highways for three hours between 12 PM to 3 PM. The farmers claim that the Budget 2021-22 is not beneficial for farmers because the farmers have been ignored by the government.
Meanwhile, the government has cut power supply and water supply at the protest sites. Moreover, the government has added iron nails, reports suggest more than 2,000 iron nails have been added at Delhi's border with Haryana at Tikri.
As per reports, the government is trying hard to block
the way to the protest sites from Punjab and Haryana. The government had
alleged since the protests started across India that these farmers are
primarily from Punjab and Haryana. However, protests are seen across India.
