Amid controversy over Cancer diets, former cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu's wife is now in new trouble but this time over a cheating case. Navjot Sidhu's wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu has accused her former personal assistant and a US-based NRI of fraud of more than Rs 2 crore. The case is related to the registration of SCO (Shop-cum-Office) No. 10 located at Ranjit Avenue. The Economic Offenses (EO) Wing is investigating it.
What is Navjot Kaur Sidhu Property Fraud Case?
As per reports, Navjot Kaur Sidhu has alleged that NRI Angad Pal Singh living in the US, along with his maternal uncles Mangal Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, cheated her. Apart from this, his former personal assistant Gaurav, and his associate Jagjit Singh also played an important role in this fraud.
Angad Pal Singh had proposed to sell SCO No. 10 located at Ranjit Avenue. For this, an agreement was reached between the two parties. On behalf of Navjot Kaur Sidhu, his representative Sushil Rawat, and on behalf of Angad Pal Singh, Vishal Kaur signed the agreement.
'Registration of property not done'
Navjot Kaur Sidhu transferred Rs 1.2 crore to Angad Pal Singh's account for booking this property. Apart from this, she also gave cheques for payment several times, which were cashed by his personal assistant Gaurav, and handed over the amount to Angad's agent.
Angad Pal Singh repeatedly assured that the property would be registered in her name soon. When Dr. Sidhu pressed for document registration, the accused started making excuses. The accused temporarily gave power of attorney of the property in the name of Sidhu's daughter Rabia in February 2023.
Navjot Kaur Sidhu Cancer Diet Controversy
Punjab Congress leader and former cricketer Navjot Sidhu has been the talk of the town for his claim of treatment that cured his wife of cancer. Navjot Sidhu had said that he treated his wife with an Ayurvedic method. Sidhu claimed that his wife stopped eating sweet things that increased cancer cells. After this, Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu became cancer-free.
Sidhu also held a press conference regarding this. After the video went viral, 262 oncologists led by Tata Memorial Hospital questioned this claim. They said that research is going on on some of the things mentioned by Sidhu, but the claim of cure through these is not correct.
