Former Punjab Congress President Navjot Singh Sidhu today on Wednesday targeted the Aam Aadmi Party government over the drug trade in the state. He has shared a video on Twitter of a youth selling drugs and has questioned the will of the Mann government to end drugs.
Sharing the video, Sidhu while addressing CM Bhagwant Mann and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal wrote, "STF report and Hon'ble High Court has observed on several occasions that there exists a nexus between drug peddlers, police and politician, Which has not been broken yet."
It is worth mentioning that while Sidhu is facing the wrath of the Congress High Command for indiscipline, he has been continuously opening a march against the Bhagwant Mann government against the mining and drug mafia.
On Tuesday, he accused the AAP government of being active in the mining mafia.
He had said that illegal mining is going on even under the government of Mann and people are getting a trolley of sand for 22 thousand rupees. He also called the government to provide 600 units of electricity free of cost. He said that the government should collect whatever bill is made after 600 units.
It is worth noting that the issues which Navjot Singh Sidhu is raising against the Mann government in Punjab have been raising them even during his Congress government. Many times he had opened a front against the Channi government regarding the mining mafia.
This is the reason that now he may have to face disciplinary action from the high command for speaking against his party and the former Congress government. Congress' Punjab affairs in-charge Harish Chaudhary has written a letter to party president Sonia Gandhi, demanding disciplinary action against Sidhu.
