A Mumbai Special NDPS Court on Friday rejected the bail applications of actress Rhea Chakraborty, her brother Showik and four others accused in the drugs case filed by Narcotics Control Bureau, advocate Satish Maneshinde said.
In the bail plea, Maneshinde forcefully argued that there is nothing on record to suggest that Rhea was in any way involved with the financing of illicit drug traffic or harboring offenders in relation to any narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances.
Opposing the plea, the Special Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande argued that she could influence the witnesses or tamper with evidence with her money power and must not be enlarged on bail.
It was also said that this has not remained the case of Sushant Singh Rajput, it is turned into much bigger. The NCB will soon unearth the nexus of drugs cartel with Bollywood.

After this, reports of Times Now claim that the NCB has started their groundwork to summon the 25 A-listers revealed by Rhea Chakraborty in the interrogation. Sources say that these are the people who have indulged in the procurement, consumption, and peddling of drugs.
The report further added that the names in the list are quite high profile and hence the NCB is very carefully monitoring the case. A meeting is currently underway in Delhi headed by KPS Malhotra and DG Asthana of NCB. The meeting will essentially be focusing on how they will be proceeding with the investigation forward.
