On Sunday, the National Cadet Corps (NCC), the youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces, has been celebrating the 73rd raising anniversary. According to reports, cadets all across the country will attend celebratory events, participating in marches, blood donation camps, and other social welfare programmes.
On this occasion, defence minister Rajnath Singh greets NCC cadets and former cadets. The minister took Twitter and said that the multifaceted activities and varied curriculum of the NCC, provide unique opportunities to India’s youth and help them imbibe discipline and patriotism in their lives. The defence minister’s tweet read, “On the occasion of National Cadet Corps’ Raising Day, greetings to all the cadets and ex-cadets. The multifaceted activities and varied curriculum of the NCC, provide unique opportunities to India’s youth and help them imbibe discipline and patriotism in their lives. @HQ_DG_NCC”.

In the following tweet, Rajnath Singh said, “A scheme for expansion of NCC coverage, in Border and Coastal regions of the country was announced by PM Shri @narendramodi, last year. A total increase of one lakh additional cadet strength in all three streams of India’s Armed Forces has been successfully achieved.”
He also shared the NCC Alumni Association link and contact number. The minister also emphasized the fact that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has joined the National Cadets Corps (NCC) Alumni Association in Jhansi.
