Parul Chaudhary, who won gold in the 5000m and silver in the 3000m steeplechase at the Asian Games, will compete in two events.

For the first time, India will have two representatives in the men’s javelin event, with Chopra and Kishore Jena competing in the qualification round. Jeswin Aldrin, who recorded a personal best of 8.42 m in Bellary, will also be in medal contention if he approaches that mark.
