NEET Results: Special Exam On October 14, results will be out on October 16

NEET Result 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NEET Result 2020 on October 16, 2020, on the official website of NEET. Candidates who appeared for the NEET 2020 exam are requested to visit ntaneet.nic.in to check and download their respective NEET Result 2020 after it has been released. The Supreme Court has directed NTA to conduct a special exam of NEET on October 14, for candidates who could not appear for the NEET Exam conducted on September 13 due to Covid-19 infection or because of residing in containment zones.

NTA would also release the NEET 2020 Rank List for All India Quota (AIQ). Agency will share the state-wise NEET merit list with the respective authorities to conduct the NEET Counselling for 85 per cent medical and dental seats. NEET ranks and marks for 15 per cent AIQ will vary. To qualify NEET exams, a candidate must secure a 50 percentile, however, getting admission in a medical college will be based on the candidate’s NEET rank.

 

This year, all competitive exams were delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. NEET exam 2020 was conducted on September 13 at various exam centres across the country. Around 15.97 lakhs aspirants registered for the NEET exam 2020 out of which over 85 to 90 per cent of 15.97 lakh candidates appeared in NEET 2020 exam, as per education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal. 


Steps to check NEET 2020 Result: 

Step 1: Visit the official website of NEET, i.e., ntaneet.nic.in.

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link that reads 'NEET 2020 Result'. (once released)

Step 3: A new page will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Enter the asked credentials.

Step 5: Click on the submit option.

Step 6: Your 'NEET Result 2020' will appear on the screen.

Step 7: Download it and take a printout for future reference.


How To Check NEET Result 2020 On Mobile Phone

 To check NEET results on your mobile phone, candidates can open their phone's browser and visit the NTA website at ntaneet.nic.in. Scroll and find the 'NEET result' link. Submit your login details and download the scorecard. 

 As per reports, NEET results in 2020 result time has not been declared yet. But results can be expected to be out soon after the release of the official NEET answer key.

Once released, visit the official website and follow these steps to download the NEET answer key: 

  •   Go to ntaneet.nic.in or nta.ac.in.
  •   Click on the  NTA NEET 2020 answer key link.
  •   Access the NEET 2020 answer key.


AIQ, State Quota And Other Seats for NEET Exam 2020

Based on NEET 2020 result, admission will be given to: 

  1.  15% All India Quota seats
  2.  85% of State Quota seats
  3.  Seats in Deemed and Central Universities
  4.  15 AIIMS institutes
  5.  2 JIPMER campuses
  6.  Management/NRI seats
  7.  Central Pool seats

 

Admissions

Candidates who qualify in NEET 2020 result and meet the required eligibility will be eligible for admission to the following programmes: 

  •  MBBS
  •  BDS
  •  BUMS
  •  BAMS
  •  BHMS
  •  BSMS
  •  BNYS
  •  B.V.Sc and AH courses

 

The validity of NEET Result

NEET Result 2020 and scorecard will be valid for three years, starting from the date of declaration of the result.

NEET Result 2020 To Be Available For 90 Days

As per NTA officials, candidates will be able to download NEET UG result 2020 for 90 days, starting from the result declaration date. Thus, if the NEET result is declared today, candidates will be able to download their results till January 10, 2021, at ntaneet.nic.in

 

What is the NEET Exam? 

 The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2020) is conducted every year for admission to medical and allied courses across the nation. Based on NEET 2020 results, students who meet the NEET cut-off 2020 are granted admission to 80,005 MBBS; 26,949 BDS; 52,720 AYUSH; and 525 BVSc and AH seats in Medical and Dental colleges in India. As many as fifteen AIIMS and two JIPMER institutes will also consider the NEET 2020 results to provide admission to their institutes.
