Sir Storyline
Dhanush portrays the character of a junior lecturer of mathematics who aspires to be a senior lecturer. As mentioned above his character name in the movie is Balamurugan 'Bala' Sir (Tamil) / Bala Gangadhar Thilak 'Balu' Sir (Telugu). Dhanush was sent to a village to teach in a government college as an MoU signed by the government and the private coaching president so that the quality of government school improves. However, before going to teach in the government school, Bala sir asks the private school president what the junior lecturer will be rewarded if they perform good. Dhanush was then asked what he wants and he reveals that he aspires to be a senior lecturer in coaching. However, the president says if his government school students are passed with first division, he will fulfill his dreams and promote him. As a result, Dhanush through his hard work and students' dedication achieve the condition and everyone he reached got passed with first division. However, this irks the president of private coaching as he felt threatened that his business might crash due to Dhanush's efforts. As a result, he and Dhanush come at loggerheads.
