Designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee faces massive backlash after the launch of his 'Intimate Fine Jewellery' ads. As pictures of the campaign went viral, netizens brutally trolled the designer for using "semi-naked models" to advertise his new line.


Sabyasachi's official Instagram page posted a series of photos of models wearing the brand's newly unveiled mangalsutras.

The campaign, on the other hand, did not go well with a section of the internet users, which has labelled the ad as 'obscene.' A series of ads for the label's Royal Bengal Mangalsutra 1.2 has particularly irked certain social media users.

Models in the promotional photoshoot wear the mangalsutra while posing alone or in intimate poses with others. In one of the photos, a female model wearing a black brassiere and the mangalsutra rests her head on a shirtless male model.
