New Highway: Delhiites to reach borders in 10 minutes, construction completes in March 2025

NHAI has announced that Delhi-NCR people will get a new highway in March 2025, and the traveling time to the Delhi border will be reduced to 10 minutes.

A new highway will be built in Delhi-NCR, providing comfort and a sigh of relief (from traffic) to the people residing in the region. This new route will provide a new travelling route to the travellers who will be able to reach the Delhi borders in just ten minutes. 

The highway is being constructed under the supervision of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). According to the sources, the construction work of the highway is almost completed, and it will be operational soon.

After this new highway will be operational, the travelling time between Akshardham and regions like Loni Border, Bhagpat and Muzaffarnagar will be reduced to just 10 times, which now is more than 30 minutes. 

This route will be a patch from Delhi to Dehradun highway which will also benefit cities like Khekra, Shamli and Saharanpur. The total length of the high is around 212 kilometers, and the construction of the first 32 kilometers has been completed, and a successful trail has also been conducted at the initial part. 

The highway to be operational by the end of March 2025

According to the latest update shared by NHAI officials, the highway between Akshardham and Delhi border will be completely operational by the end of March 2025. The section is approximately 18 kilometers and is a six-lane highway. 

The Faridabad-Jewar Expressway

Along with the aforementioned highway, the infrastructure of Delhi-NCR will also be transformed by the Faridabad-Jewar Expressway, which will cut down travel time significantly and boost economic development. 

The length of this expressway will be around 31 kilometers, and it is expected that the construction work will be completed by June 2025. Notably, the traveling time will be reduced to 15 minutes with 2 hours.
