The venue for the final of the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 has been revealed. The final of this mega event will be played at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur later this year.

This year, the women will be playing the 13th edition of the Women’s ODI World Cup, which is scheduled to take place from September 29 to October 26, 2025. According to reports by ESPNCricinfo, India will host the tournament, and the new stadium will host the grand final of the cricket megaevent on October 26.

Other venues of the event include Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Raipur, and Indore. Notably, this tournament is the debut international women’s cricket tournament for the stadiums in Thiruvananthapuram, Raipur, and Indore. Who will be competing in the tournament?

As of now, six women’s teams have qualified for the World Cup 2025, including seven-time champions Australia, four-time champions England, T20 World Cup 20204 winner New Zealand, Asia Cup 2024 winners Sri Lanka, South Africa and India. The remaining two spots will be filled by the winners of Women’s World Cup Qualifiers - which is scheduled to be played in Lahore on April 9, 2025. 

Certain reports have claimed that if Pakistan's women's team qualifies for the tournament, then their matches will be hosted in the UAE or Sri Lanka. 

History India as a host for Women’s ODI World Cup - 

Earlier, India hosted the Women’s ODI World Cup in 2013, 1997, and 1978. It is to be noted that Women in Blue have never won the 50-over megaevent, but the team performed exceptionally well in the Women’s ODI World Cup 2005 and 2017 editions.
