The suspension of CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur  has got a new posting. Yes! you heard it right. Kulwinder Kaur who slapped Mandi MP & actress Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport over her remarks on farmers protest has been sent to Bengaluru. Earlier it was reported that Kulwinder Kaur's suspension had been revoked but later CISF clarified that she is still suspended and facing a departmental inquiry. CISF was quoted by a newswire saying, "CISF constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped BJP MP Kangana Ranaut, is still suspended and a departmental inquiry against her is still on."

Kulwinder Kaur was suspended and came under the scanner for slapping Kangana Ranaut on duty. Apart from Kulwinder Kaur, reports suggest that her husband who is also a CISF personnel has been shifted. Notably, both Kulwinder and her husband were posted at Chandigarh Airport when the infamous slapgate incident took place. 

For the unversed, Kulwinder Kaur is a resident of Kapurthala, Punjab. Kulwinder got married 6 years ago in Jammu and her husband is also a CISF Jawan. Kulwinder has 2 children-.a daughter who is 6 to 7 years old and a son who is 5 to 6 years old. She was posted in Chandigarh for two and a half years.

After the incident took place, CISF DIG informed that Kulwinder Kaur's husband had been sent on leave. Vinay Kajla, DIG CISF held a meeting with CISF officials at the airport to review the incident, take preventive measures, and talk to the troops.

While talking to a news portal, Vinay Kajla, DIG CISF informed that he met the Mandi MP-elect in Delhi after the incident on June 6 and even apologised to the actor. "Ranaut wanted to know Kulwinder’s family background and why she did it and how many children she had." said Vinay Kajla adding "Her (Kulwinder) husband is also with the CISF and posted with the dog squad here. He has been given two or three days off to be with the family...The couple has put in 15 years of service with no prior punishments and they have a clean record."

Kulwinder's brother Sher Singh had reportedly said that he came to know about the incident only from the news. He further said that there is nothing wrong in supporting the farmers' movement. "Farmers are fighting for the country. I am associated with the Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee. Kulwinder is younger than me. She has been in service for 16 years. She has previously been posted in Kerala, Chennai and Amritsar. She was never seen angry," Sher Singh had said.
