Anushka Sharma has been away from the film industry for a long time and her fans are eagerly waiting for her to make a comeback. The Bollywood actor earlier this year gave birth to her daughter Vamika. But now, with the new year, Anushka is set to make a comeback on the big screen.
After a hiatus of three years, Anushka Sharma will, reportedly, sign three big Bollywood films. Two of these films will be released in theatres, while the third will be released on an OTT
platform.
"Anushka Sharma's comeback to the big screen in 2022 is the best thing that could happen to our industry. She'll be seen in three big projects, two of which are big screen entertainers
and one of which is a massively mounted OTT project," a close source told India Today.
"This project is easily the largest film produced for the OTT platforms in India due to the size with which it is being conceptualised! We can expect these announcements to begin early
next year, and Anushka's admirers will be overjoyed by the range of projects she will pick to entertain them with," the source further said.
Anushka will be focusing on her acting career from now on, according to the source, and "wants to be a part of cinema that is remarkably differential yet hugely entertaining.”
"With Anushka's amazing track record of delivering the biggest hits in Hindi cinema, combined with her brilliant, versatile acting skills, these projects are already huge talking
points. Anushka's new choices will be reflective of her headspace to choose entertainers that are fresh and new. She plans to concentrate on her acting career and hopes to be a part of cinema that is both unique and exciting,"
the source was quoted saying by a reputable media outlet.
Anushka Sharma is the only actress to have three films grossing more than 300 crores. She has starred in major films like Sultan, PK and Sanju. The actor was last seen in the 2018 film Zero
with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.
