New York Times Square echoes with Jai Shri Ram chants as Ram Lalla consecrated in Ayodhya Temple

The homecoming of Ram Lalla was witnessed in the United States of America (USA) as hundreds flocked to Times Square New York and chanted Jai Shree Ram.

Ram Lalla's new & old idol on Monday was formally consecrated inside the sanctum sanctorum (Grabha Griha) of the newly built Ayodhya Temple. The Pran Pratishtha ceremony took place on January 22, 2024, with PM Modi, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and UP CM Yogi Adityanath present inside the Grabha Griha. A team of priests from Kashi led by Lakshmi Kant Dixit helped PM Modi to perform the Pran Pratishtha Event. To witness the history in the making, billions of people tuned to DD National and its official social media handle and sought the blessings of Shree Ram Lalla. Interestingly, the homecoming of Ram Lalla was witnessed in the United States of America (USA). In fact, the iconic New York Times Square street were echoed with Jai Shree Ram chants as PM Modi unveiled Ram Lall's idol with 'full singar'. 

 

Now, New York Times Square Ayodhya Temple video is going viral on social media. Hundreds of Hindus arrived at the Times Square to witness Ram Mandir event and the Amerian street was filled with Jai Shree Ram chants. Event, Indian Consulate in New York shared multiples pictures of devotees witnessing Ram Temple inauguration event. 

 

About Ram Lalla's idol

The idol depicts Lord Ram as a five-year-old child in a standing posture holding a golden bow and arrow. The 51-inch Ram Lalla idol, sculpted by Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, is made of black stone. As per reports, the idol made by Arun Yogiraj was selected unanimously by a panel as it depicted Ram Lalla most uniquely -as a five-year-old child. Ram Lalla's idol weighs around 150-200kg.  Reports further suggest that the rock from which the black stone has been chiselled out is a three billion-year-old rock.
