The New Zealand government has made important changes in its visa rules, these changes are going to benefit Indians. Its purpose is to simplify the immigration process and generate new opportunities for people coming to New Zealand in search of jobs.
Under these changes, now the condition of work experience required for immigrants to work in New Zealand has been reduced from 3 years to 2 years. This decision will directly benefit the people coming to New Zealand for jobs, as they will be able to get a job even with less experience.
In addition, new options have also been provided for seasonal workers. A 3-year multiple-entry visa is available for experienced workers and a 7-month single-entry visa is available for less experienced workers.
New Zealand has also changed the rules for its Employer Work Visa (AEWV) and Specific Purpose Work Visa (SPWV), which will no longer require employers to meet pre-set salary criteria.
In addition, rules have also been changed for Indian students wishing to pursue higher education, making it easier for them to obtain a post-study work visa.
Under the new rules, students will be allowed to live and work in New Zealand for up to three years depending on their qualifications.
