The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 5 lakh on Happy Passia, the mastermind of the grenade attack on Chandigarh's Kothi and police stations in Punjab and a terrorist hiding abroad. People will be able to give information to the NIA through telephone, WhatsApp and email. Anyone providing information will receive a Rs 5 lakh reward, and their identity will be kept confidential. Happy Passia is suspected to be residing in the USA.
Recently, NIA has filed an application in Chandigarh District Court to issue arrest warrant against terrorist Happy Passia for grenade attack on Chandigarh Kothi. A decision will be taken on this application on 9th January.
On September 11 last year, a grenade attack was carried out on Kothi No. 575 in Sector-10. Two youths named Rohan and Vishal Masih threw a hand grenade and fled. Harpreet Singh alias Happy Passia, a terrorist living in America, has taken responsibility for the attack through internet media.
Happy Passia has been living in the US for a long time and works for Pakistan-based terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda of the Babbar Khalsa International organization. It was through him that weapons were provided to the perpetrators of this attack.
Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arth Dalla, who was running the terrorist organization of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, was shot during a shootout in Milton city of Canada on October 28. Following this, he was arrested there. Dalla was working for the Khalistani Tiger Force.
But after his arrest, Khalistani activities in Punjab were intensified by Passia. After Dalla's arrest, Passia and Gopi Navanshaharia have started carrying out Khalistani activities. However, Dalla has got bail in Canada.
Khalistan supporter and gangster Happy Passia's name came into the news when he carried out a hand grenade attack in Chandigarh's posh area Sector-10. Investigation revealed that this attack was carried out by USA-based gangster Harpreet Singh alias Happy Passia, who works for Khalistan terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda, who is hiding in Pakistan.
