The National Investigation Agency have conducted raids at ten location in Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan. All the premises that were raided were related to close aides of most wanted gangster Goldy Brar. Reportedly, these raids are being carried out in connection with the cross-border drug supply through drones from Pakistan territory.
This is one of the biggest crackdowns of the NIA on the drug mafias that have direct or indirect links with handlers and smugglers based in Pakistan. UAPA has already been launched by National Investigation Agency in this case. As per sources, the NIA team reached Sirsa, Sonipat and Jhajjar in Haryana. He added, “Pakistan-based handlers were sending drugs to India-based gangsters through drones. We identified a few of them. Goldy Brar and his aides are on the radar. A few more gangsters' aides are also being raided.”
Till now there has been no official confirmation about the raids that are being done by NIA and further details are awaited.
