Why Nicki Minaj was arrested at Amsterdam Airport?
As per local media reports, Nicku Minaj was arrested on suspicion of 'possessing soft drugs' while travelling from Amsterdam to Manchester for her Pink Friday 2 Tour show. She was later released but will have to pay a fine that will be determined by the public prosecution service. The National Police Corps in a statement said a woman, 41, was arrested after allegedly trying to take soft drugs from Schiphol airport to another country.
In the viral Nicki Minaj arrest video, she denied that she was carrying any drugs but was told that she needed to go to the police station. In the video, the rapper can be seen asking the officer if she was “under arrest”, to which the Dutch police officer replied, “yes”. In the recording, a man explained to her that she “would get a lawyer at the office” and they would go “as fast as possible”. Minaj claimed she was told by an airport security worker “to get into this [police] van and go into the precinct with no lawyer present”.
