In a shocking incident, 7 Nihang Singhs on Tuesday killed a man by cutting him with a sword in Patti town of Tarn Taran district of Punjab. At the same time, the son and brother of the deceased were seriously injured in the attack. The Nihangs carried out this attack over a money dispute. As per the information received, some Sikhs in Nihang attire entered the victim's house and cut him in front of his family. Two people were rushed to the hospital in an injured state, but one died.
The incident took place in Ward No. 6 of Patti. The deceased has been identified as Shammi Puri. He used to run a grocery shop. The injured have been identified as Shammi Puri's son Karan Puri and brother Rajan Puri. As per the family members, 7 Nihangs came to the house in the afternoon and started quarreling with Shammi. In the fight, the Nihangs took out swords and after that, they started attacking any family members who came in front of them.
The victim's family told the police that this attack happened over a money dispute. Nihangs were repeatedly asking Shammi to give them money. Many times they had also given threats over the phone, but the family did not think that they would come and attack like this.
The family said that as soon as they arrived, the Nihangs first started arguing with Shammi. Seeing this, his son came in between. Later the Nihangs took out swords and attacked. The uncle who came to rescue was also attacked and injured by the Nihangs.
