If the numbers are to be considered, Virat Kohli wrapped up his Indian Team captaincy with a short format of the game with a surprisingly successful note. With 32 wins in 50 games, Kohli led his team in a way no one else could.
However, as the Indian cricket team failed to achieve its goals of lifting the T20 2021 World Cup, even Kohli admitted that the dream remains unfulfilled.
India's twin defeats against Pakistan and New Zealand in the first two matches of the tournament did not leave the team with a chance to come back. Although Group-2, which includes the Indian group, was considered relatively simple compared to Group-1, it was the group with the 'favorites' tag that was eliminated as Pakistan and New Zealand went through.
There is no denying that the disappointment of Indian fans is great at seeing Men in Blue eliminated released on their group stage itself. As India's tour of the exhibition comes to an end, Kohli took to social media and said no one was more disappointed with the development than the Indian group itself.

"Together as one, we set out to achieve our goal. Unfortunately, we fell short and no one is more disappointed than us as a side. The support from all of you has been fantastic and we are grateful for it all. We will aim to come back stronger and put our best foot forward. Jai Hind."
