Covid second wave is engulfing Maharashtra at a very fast rate. The situation is getting bad every day and the government is trying its best to control the covid scare. Starting from 8 pm on 14 April Maharashtra chief minister Udhav Thackery has announced a state wide 15 days lockdown. Under these circumstances no shoot will be carried on be it a TV show, film shooting or an advertisement shoot.
Many from the film fraternity showed their concerns on the loss industry has faced in the 2020 lockdown and now again the rising covid has brought back the lockdown. In an exclusive interview with ETimes JD Majethia, the India films and television producers council chairman said that as per the government guidelines everyone will follow rules but they intend to approach him again to review the situation. He said, “we consider ourselves as frontline workers as we provide entertainment to people who are sitting at home. We make people happy who are dealing with various issues, depression, frustration and bring a smile on their face”. He also hopes that the Chief Minister of Maharashtra Udhav Thackery will consider the entertainment industry as an exception and will soon allow the shoots to resume.

Earlier, the B-town rumor world heard that many crew members from the set of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan have been tested positive for covid but the team has refuted all the rumors.
