No vehicles to ply on Punjab roads tomorrow from 11 am to 12 pm

Punjab Government has issued guidelines requesting all people and business owners to avoid plying on the roads during the specified time every Saturday.

The one hour of silence is in memory of those people whose lives have been ended by the pandemic Corona virus.

It is clarified that the following of this guideline is voluntary.

Further, unless guidelines contrary to the same are issued, this is to be repeated every Saturday in Punjab.

It is relevant to note here that the pandemic situation is quickly spiralling out of control in Punjab with many of its districts showing resurgence in daily Covid cases and deaths due to the same.

The Chief Minister of Punjab has a tough situation on his hands to contain and manage the pandemic without affecting the economy.
