After Navjot Singh Sidhu’s sudden resignation from his post of PPCC president, former Punjab Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh took a jibe at him saying, “he’s not a
stable man.”
“I told you so. He is not a stable man and not fit for the border state of Punjab,” tweeted Capt Amarinder.

Earlier, today reports of Capt Amarinder Singh joining BJP were aired.
However, the said claims were denied by his confidant. “Capt Amarinder Singh's visit to Delhi has gotten a lot of attention. He'll meet some friends on his personal visit and vacate Kapurthala residence for the next CM. No need for any unnecessary speculation," said Capt Amarinder Singh's media advisor, Raveen Thukral.

After tendering his resignation as Punjab CM, Amarinder Singh had strongly opposed the elevation of Sidhu to the top post. Stating Sidhu as a threat to national security, Capt had added that "he (Sidhu) is friends with Pak Prime Minister Imran Khan and Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa."
Warning party high command about Sidhu’s leadership in the state, Capt said, “If Sidhu behaves as super CM, Punjab Congress won't function. Under this drama master’s leadership, it would be a big thing if Congress manages to touch double digits in Punjab polls.”
Further, challenging Sidhu and his allies of putting the Badals behind the bars, Capt had said, “They (Sidhu) complained against me for not taking arbitrary action against Badals and going by rule of law. Now they're are in power, let them throw the @Akali_Dal_ leaders behind bars if they can.”
