Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday led a massive anti-drug campaign i.e. Yudh Nashiyan Virudh in Ludhiana. During the campaign, CM Mann and AAP Supremo Arvind Kejriwal administered an oath to thousands of students/youths to fight against drug addiction. A padyatra aka march was also organised that was flagged off by CM Mann and Arvind Kejriwal to mark the commitment towards a drug-free Punjab.
During the event, CM Bhagwant Mann said that he will not allow Deepmalas (lighting of lamps) on the palaces built by smugglers by destroying people's houses, bulldozers will be used there. Punjab will soon become drug-free. Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal held the previous governments responsible for drug abuse in Punjab. AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal said in the program that it feels great to be a part of this program. He told the students participating in the program that in the future they will have to take care of Punjab. One of you will become the Chief Minister, Minister, MLA, industrialist, or businessman of Punjab tomorrow. But the way drug addiction is spreading in every house, if it is not stopped then who will take care of Punjab in the future? The governments that were before us and of other parties, ruined the generation of Punjab for some money. God will not forgive them.
"The palaces of drug smugglers will be demolished"
Furthermore, Delhi CM Kejriwal said that now there is a patriotic government of Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab. No one can buy us. The work that has been done in Punjab in one month has not been done in the entire country in 75 years. The big palaces that the smugglers had built with the money from drugs will be demolished. Whoever sells drugs in Punjab will not be spared. Punjab Police is doing a very good job.
'Don't do drugs, your whole family will be destroyed', requested Arvind Kejriwal
Kejriwal requested, "I am your elder brother. You are like my children. I also have two children. The dream that your parents had, someone thinks that the daughter will become an IAS, IPS or a pilot. When you study in college, you must have dreamt about life. But the day you get addicted to drugs, everything is destroyed. All dreams are shattered. Your family is shattered. Don't do drugs. Being your elder brother, I am telling you with folded hands that don't do drugs. The family will be completely destroyed."
'Inform the police about drug dealers'
Arvind Kejriwal also sought the support of people to eradicta drug menace from the state. He said, "If a friend or relative around you starts taking drugs, then it is your responsibility to explain to him with love and get him out of the addiction. You have your own government in Punjab. We will do everything for you. Now you will have to take responsibility of your village and street, call the police. Give information on the number issued by the police, no one will harass you."
'Take this pledge to end drug addiction', says Arvind Kejriwal
"I will not take drugs, and if someone around me takes drugs, then I will get him out of the addiction. At the same time, if someone sells drugs, then I will inform about him. Now a playground is being built to end drug addiction. The Punjab government is working for you. Hopefully, we will together make Rangla Punjab."
What did Punjab CM Bhagwant Singh Mann say during the event?
On this occasion, CM Mann said that many children have come to Ludhiana today to contribute to the war against drugs. These children are from NCC, NSS, and various schools. He said that this war is not limited to policemen. While it is very important for common people to participate in it. Many panchayats are passing resolutions for drug-free villages.

Punjab CM Mann assured and said, "The WhatsApp number is 9779100200. Action will be taken immediately as soon as information is received on this number. Also, the name of the informer should be kept confidential. The campaign is getting a good response in the whole of Punjab. People in the whole of Punjab are appreciating that good work has been done."
'Bulldozers will be run on the houses of smugglers'
Mann further said, "Because smugglers demolished ten houses and built their mansions. We will run bulldozers on it. Bulldozers were being run in Muktsar Sahib yesterday."
