A heart-wrenching terror attack took place in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, during which a man from Karnataka lost his life. It is to be noted that the man was vacationing with his family and was traveling with his wife Pallavi and their young son.
These chilling moments were recalled by Pallavi, who mentioned, “Three of us – me, my husband, and our son – had gone to Kashmir. It happened around 1:30 pm, I think. We were at Pahalgam. He died on the spot, in front of my eyes. It still feels like a bad dream.”
Furthermore, she mentioned that immediately after the attack, she gained assistance from three local civilians. She was quoted saying, “Three local people rescued me.”
Attackers were targeting Hindus: Pallavi
Additionally, she also highlighted that it seemed that the attackers were targeting Hindus. She also mentioned that the attackers asked her to tell PM Modi about her ordeal. Pallavi said, “Three to four people attacked us. I told them – kill me too; you’ve already killed my husband. One of them said, ‘I won’t kill you. Go tell this to Modi’.”
Not only this, she also asked the authorities to bring her husband’s body back to Shivamogga, Karnataka, as soon as possible as it needed to be airlifted and couldn’t be brought down easily.

According to certain reports, a video of the couple was seen in which they were riding on a shikara, and during the same, they can be heard appreciating their tourist experience in Jammu and Kashmir.
Statement by Karnataka’s Chief Minister -
This attack was condemned by the Chief Minister of Karnataka, Siddaramaiah, who posted a statement of X mentioning, “Kannadigas are among the victims of this shocking incident. Upon receiving the news, I convened an emergency meeting and reviewed the situation with the Chief Secretary and senior police officials. I have also spoken to the Resident Commissioner in Delhi,” adding, “We are closely monitoring the developments. All necessary support will be extended. Please be assured, the Government of Karnataka stands firmly with those affected.”
