Ahead of the festivals, the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas cylinder is increased by Rs 266, from Monday. This new rate would be applicable for the commercial LPG cylinder. For this month, it is relief for the common man as the rate of domestic cylinders is unchanged.
In the national capital, the rate of the LPG cylinder for commercial use has been increased to Rs 2000.50, which was earlier Rs 1,734. After the hike of Rs 266, in Mumbai, a 19-kg commercial gas cylinder will now cost Rs 1,950. In Kolkata, the commercial LPG rate stood at Rs 2,073.50, and in Chennai now a 19-kg cylinder will be available for Rs 2,133.
The domestic cylinder price in Gurugram is Rs 893.50, in Noida Rs 882.50, Rs 937 in Hyderabad, Rs 922.50 in Lucknow, and Rs 888.50 in Jaipur. The price was increased on October 6, 2021 by Rs 15 because of the hike in crude fuel prices. As per the reports by the media agencies, the price of both subsidised and non-subsidised LPG cylinders was increased.
As per the policy of the government, 12 cylinders of 14.2-kg each per household is provided at subsidized or below-market rates. Any quantity over this had to be bought at market price or non-subsidised rates.
