Though
the recent surge in COVID-19 cases has forced the closure of schools for the
students, but, it has failed to dampen the spirit of the government school
teachers. The Government School teachers have again started to adopt
digital route to ensure that the students have access to the education facility
at their doorstep.
With a view to combat apprehension of complacency among students due to closure of schools and postponement of Board Examination due to surge in COVID-19 cases, the Government Senior Secondary School, Nawanshahr has come out with yet another initiative. The school has planned to virtually reach the house of each and every student of class tenth.
The Live Classes would be organised for the students of class tenth just like normal functioning of the school.
Divulging details, Principal Sarbjit Singh and Younes Khokhar, District Mentor, Computer Faculty, informed that a system had been set up in the school library for running "Live Classes" through Zoom App. The daily schedule for the live classes from 9.15 a.m. to 3 pm, has been prepared having lunch break from 11.30 a.m. to 12 pm.
The students have been informed about the daily schedule of "LIve Classes". The school teachers have been imparted training to organise live classes. The white board, markers and other requisite facilities have been made available in the library room for organising "Live Classes''.
The concerned subject teacher would take his or her class as per the scheduled time table and the students would attend the class via Zoom app while sitting at their respective homes, further said the Principal.
