Three more accused have been arrested from Hoshiarpur in connection with the firing case of NRI Sukhchain Singh, who entered his house in Amritsar, Punjab, on Saturday morning. They were hiding in the old Dharamshala Lala Laxman Das Sood of Hoshiarpur. After the information, Amritsar and Hoshiarpur police conducted a joint operation and arrested three accused from Hoshiarpur. The police are still maintaining silence about whether there are shooters among them or not.
After the news of gangsters hiding in the extremely crowded Gaushala market of Hoshiarpur, the entire market was converted into a police camp. Those who have been caught were the three gangsters from Amritsar who were hiding in Dharamshala Lala Laxman Das Sood, located in Gaushala Bazaar. After taking them into custody, the police interrogated the accused for a long time inside Dharamshala. After this, the accused left for Amritsar in vehicles.
SP Sarvjeet said that the police had received information that gangsters were staying in the oldest Dharamshala of the city. They had also submitted their Aadhar card in Dharamshala. This morning, the miscreants were caught in a joint operation by Amritsar Police and Hoshiarpur Police. All three are accused in the Amritsar case only. The accused are still being interrogated.
Five accused, including a father-in-law, are in custody.
Those who attacked the NRI have been identified as Gurinder Singh Sukha Garned, a resident of Kapurthala, and Gurkirat Singh Guri, a resident of Jalandhar. Apart from these three accused, the police have arrested five more in this case. Police have arrested Jagjit Singh and Chamkaur Singh, residents of Tarn Taran. The accused had helped the attackers before and after the incident.
Jagdambar Atari and Abhilash Bhaskar, owners of a hotel, have also been arrested. He had given shelter to the attackers in his hotel without any ID. Apart from this, Sarwan Singh, father of the deceased wife of the injured NRI, was also arrested by the police in Tanda, Hoshiarpur.
