Team India's former speedster S Sreesanth on Thursday shared a video of himself after coming live on his Instagram revealing what went wrong between him and Gautam Gambhir. For the unversed, on Wednesday night, during Legends League Cricket, Sreesanth and Gambhir were indulged in a verbal spat on the field. While at first both were involved in a death star contest, later things turned ugly when they came close angrily and umpires had to step in. Following that Sreesanth shared his video from the stadium explaining that Gambhir continued to abuse him and call him out with names that indeed hurt him. Following that, Gambhir shared a photo on X handle hinting that Sreesanth might be doing this for attention.
Following that, Sreesanth took to his Instagram handle and shared another video revealing what Gautam Gambhir told him on the field. Narrating the fight, Sreesanth said, "I want to come live and tell every one of you. Rather than coming to each news channel and answering the same questions again and again, I just want to clear the air.....I just wanna say this he kept on calling me on live television, on the center wicket. I have not used a single bad word or abused him. I only said what are you saying? I kept on laughing sarcastically because he kept calling me fixer, you are a fixer, f*uck off fixer. Even with the umpires, he used the same language when they were trying to control me. I moved away but he kept on saying the same words again and again."
Notably, after Sreesanth released his first video, Gautam Gambhir broke his silence and shared a picture of him on X with the caption, "Smile when the world is all about attention!"
It is pertinent to mention here that Sreesanth was banned for life by the BCCI in a spot-fixing scandal in the IPL. However, the Supreme Court of India cleared Sreesanth of all charges and directed the BCCI to lift his life ban.
For the unversed, Gambhir and Sreesanth were involved in a long stare-off during the match at LLC, a tournament for retired cricket stars. In the viral video, Gujarat Giants' Sreesanth was seen giving a long stare at India Capitals' Gautam Gambhir after getting hit for a six and a four. The former Indian cricket team opener was not amused and stared back. However, tempers started to flare on the ground when Sreesanth and Gambhir confronted each other and umpires had to come in between to stop them.
