The Political game going on in the state of Punjab was already heated up when the Aam Aadmi Party alleged the start of operation lotus in Punjab. The government also alleged that the opposition party is trying to buy their ministers by offering them a handsome amount of money. Reportedly, around 25 crores have been offered to each MLA of AAP to join the BJP. The main aim of this operation lotus in Punjab is to somewhere weaken the Aam Aadmi Party.
After coming back from his Germany tour, the first thing that the CM of the state has done is to address the people of the state and talk about the most spoken matter of the Punjab state.
While addressing the state, Bhagwant Mann spoke about Operation Lotus. He said that the party has full confidence in its MLAs and is sure that nothing can break the unity of their party. He further added that to seek the vote of confidence legally, they have called for a special session in the assembly on 22nd September 2022.
Reportedly, around Rs. 1354 crores have been kept aside by the BJP for operation lotus in Punjab. The Finance Minister of Punjab, Harpal Cheema informed everyone by holding a press conference that there are around 10-20 MLAs who have been offered the proposal.
The AAP party has submitted the complaint along with the electronic evidence to the DGP of Punjab and has asked for an investigation regarding the matter.
Punjab Finance Minister Cheema refused to reveal the name of the MLAs contacted or even the name of the BJP leaders who tried hard for the success of Operation Lotus in Punjab.
