Over 300 cops injured, 22 FIRs post tractor parade unrest in Delhi

Farmers protest in Delhi turned amok after one faction of the farmers enter Red Fort on the day of Republic Day and hoisted two flags.

As per reports published on the website of Times of India, it has been noted that more than 300 cops were injured in yesterday's protest and many farmers were also injured. Moreover, as per records, 22 FIRs were filed after the tractor parade unrest in Delhi.

Security has been beefed up as per reports and the government is expected to take action against the protesters soon. Multiple CCTV's are being examined to unearth who are behind instigating the protesters.

Commissioner of Police of Delhi has conducted a meeting with senior officials regarding the untoward incidents during tractor parade, yesterday, according to ANI. Also, farmers unions have called a meeting to discuss the violence that took place during the parade on Republic day.

While SS Pandher of Kisan Mazdoor Sangarsh Committee said, "Some miscreants joined the protest to defame farmers movement. We did not plan to unfurl the flags at Red Fort, this was not our program. Deep Sidhu's photo with the PM has floated, we had already expressed doubt over him."

Allegations are being leveled against Kisan Mazdoor Sangarsh Committee and Deep Sidhu for their alleged role in the wild march yesterday.
