Indian actresses have not had a great time with the foreign press. Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra both have been confused with other actresses quite a few times. Model and TV personality Padma Lakshmi is the latest celebrity to be mistaken for another person.
The New Yorker Magazine recently, as a part of their 'celebrity cartoon take-over' post, shared an image of Padma Lakshmi. In this feature, the magazine shares a celebrity's favourite cartoon illustration published by the magazine earlier.
The New Yorker got the photograph of Padma Lakshmi right, but their Instagram page tagged Priyanka Chopra on the gram instead of Padma Lakshmi. The 49-year-old, who is known to not shy away from expressing herself on social media, shared the goof-up by the magazine on her Instagram account. Her caption read, "Thank you to the illustrious "@nydailynews" for the shoutout ... I know to some we all look alike, but .. #desilife #justindianthings (sic)"
