What did Syed Hussain Shah do?
As per reports, Syed Hussain Shah was a local pony ride operator who was present at the spot when terrorists opened fire at the tourists. As per reports, Syed Hussain Shah tried to snatch the rifle from one of the terrorists without thinking about his life.
Syed Adil Hussain Shah was the only breadwinner in his family. He used to ferry tourists on his horse from the car parking to the Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam, which is accessible only on foot. Syed Adil Hussain Shah was shot dead during his attempt to fight one of the terrorists. He had tried to protect the tourist he had brought to the spot. Syed Adil Hussain Shah was the only local killed in the attack. Shah was the only breadwinner of the family, which includes his elderly parents, wife, and children.
Syed Hussain Shah's father Syed Haider Shah while speaking to a news wire said, "My son went to Pahalgam yesterday to work, and around 3 pm, we heard about the attack. We called him, but his phone was switched off. Later, at 4.40 pm, his phone turned on, but no one answered. We rushed to the police station, and that's when we learned that he had been shot in the attack. Whoever is responsible must face the consequences."
Syed Hussain Shah's mother video is also going viral on X. Syed Hussain Shah's mother can be seen crying and telling the media, "He was the only support we had. He used to ride horses and earned money for the family. There is no one else to provide for us now. We don't know what we will do without him."
