All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday condemned the India vs Pakistan match in ICC men’s T20 WorldCup scheduled on October 24. Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mr Owaisi said that “our soldiers have died. Will you play T20?”

“Nine of our soldiers died in J-K and India will be playing T20 match with Pakistan on October 24? Pakistan is playing T20 in Kashmir every day with the lives of the people of India," he further said.

Talking about the spate of targeted civilian killings in Kashmir, Asaduddin Owaisi said it was a failure of the BJP-led Centre.


"What is the Intelligence Bureau and Union Home Minister Amit Shah doing when poor Bihar labourers are killed, and targeted killings are being carried out? This is the consequence of the Centre's failure "he stated.

On October 16, terrorists killed a street hawker from Bihar and a labourer from Uttar Pradesh in two back-to-back attacks in Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar and Pulwama regions.

Several civilians have been killed by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir in recent days, causing fear in the Valley.



He went on to say that Prime Minister Narendra Modi never addresses two issues- the rise in fuel prices and China's "sitting in Ladakh".

"The Prime Minister is afraid to speak about China," he claimed.

Petrol and diesel prices hit an all-time high on Sunday, with rates rising by 35 paise/litre across the country for the fourth day in a row. In Delhi, the price of petrol has increased to 105.84 per litre, while the price of diesel has increased to 94.57 per litre.
