At least nine people killed and five otters were injured in a fire exchange between two rival tribal groups in Pakistan’s Sindh province, as reported by a local media agency.
The shootout happened late Saturday night, between Jagirani and Chachar tribes in the Kandhkot area of Sindh which went on for hours over an old enmity.
According to police, nine people were killed as a result of firing between them over long-standing enmity. They further informed that the bodies and injured have been shifted to the hospital. The police personnel informed the media that the armed men were hiding in bunkers and both sides were firing at each other when security personnel reached the site.
The police have filed two separate cases against each of the armed groups and operations and raids have started to arrest the culprits and confiscate weapons from them. Automatic guns, hand grenades and rockets were used in the clash.

Tensions between the two groups spread fear and panic in the area and to defuse the tension a heavy contingent of police has been deployed in the area.
