Inspector General Imran Yakub Minhas led a meeting on Thursday at Sindh Boys Scouts Auditorium to prepare the strategy. DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed told the gathering about the visit's strict security arrangements.
889 commandos deployed:
In the security measures, 46 DSPs would be deployed, including 13 senior officials of the Karachi Police, 315 NGOs, 3,822 constables and head constables, 50 women police officers, 500 Rapid Response Force members, and 889 commandos.
According to the report, the Karachi Traffic Police would be present at all times. Special Branch officers will be stationed at the National Stadium and hotels. In addition, a special crew will be on standby to deal with any emergency situations that arise.
Recently the reports are surfacing that two West Indies players have been tested positive for novel Covid-19.
Starting on December 13, they will play three T20Is and the equal number of ODIs at the National Stadium Karachi.
The players' identities have not been revealed, but they have been placed in isolation at the same hotel where the squad is staying, according to individuals close to the case.
They also stated that the squad did not attend the evening training session at the aforementioned site owing to the same reason.
The West Indies team manager, on the other side, stated that they are still waiting for confirmation of our Covid-19 testing findings.
