Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has announced to release the IAF pilot Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman tommorrow as 'peace gesture'. Imran Khan announced this while addressing the Pakistan Parliament on Thursday.
This was passed unanimously by the Pakistan parliament.
"I am requesting the Indian despensation to not escalate (military action) from this point. Because then we will be forced to respond and retaliate, and that will not be a happy situation for both nations," said the Pakistan PM.
The IAF pilot was captured by the Pakistan forces after being shot down while chasing Pakistan Air Force jets.
Earlier in the day, MEA had summoned Pakistan Army official Syed Haider Shah and demanded for an immediate release of Abhinandan.
