An incident from Pakistan has come to the fore related to the disruption of dignity of the gurudwara. This incident took place in Panja Sahib Gurudwara in Hasan Andal Area. Reportedly, one of the devotees saw some people disrespecting the rules of gurudwara and got into an argument with them, he also made a video of the same.
The information that has been received about the matter reveals that the shooting of a film named ‘Lahore-Lahore A’ was going on and during this, the star cast was seen wearing shoes which is prohibited to be done inside the gurudwara. The shooting of the film involved more than 10 artists who were Muslims. They were shooting for the film wearing turbans, but when the people were present there noticed that the cast was wearing shoes, they protested against the same. They stated that it is a total breath to the dignity of the gurudwara.
The people accused allegedly said that many of the actors had not even covered their heads and were freely roaming in the holy place. The devotees stated that the Gurudwara is a holy place and should not be used as a shooting place if people are not aware of the principles of Sikhism.
This protest and argument rose to such a level that the shooting of the film has to be stopped midway to pacify the situation. Till now no official response has come from the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee on the matter. The members of committee have just said that till now they did not have any idea about the video and will make any statements post going through the whole matter.
