Actually, Nicole Lofty-Eaton of Namibia dived to complete a run, and his bat collided with Rishabh Pant's leg. Pant was assigned to the wicketkeeper's position. Pant attempted to save his leg with the bat till the very end, but his left leg touched with Eton's bat. Pant then gently stroked the bat with his palm before bringing it close to his chest.
The Indian wicket-keeper batsman's gesture has received a lot of acclaim. On social media, his natural demeanour is admired. Pant referred to the cricket bat as "sacred" and determined that it would not be mistreated. Pant's humility was demonstrated by the nature of his actions.

In the final match of the T20 World Cup, India defeated Namibia by nine wickets. Namibia achieved 132 runs for eight wickets after losing the toss and electing to bat first.
