On Tuesday, Paris Prosecutor Remy Heitz said that one person was detained over suspected involvement in the deadly fire that had broken out at an apartment building in the city's south-west. The alleged person was seen entering the building before the fire.
The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. at an eight storey building on the Erlanger street of the French capital, the RTL radio station reported.
The prosecutor added that according to the latest information, the fire claimed eight lives and over 30 were injured.
