Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in 2021 that August 14 would be observed as Partition's Horrors Remembrance Day or 'Vibhajan Vibhishika Smriti Divas. On this occasion, he paid tribute to all those people who lost their lives on this day, he said that the pain of partition of the country can never be forgotten and this day will be remembered for the struggle and sacrifice of those people. Meanwhile, 300 people will gather in front of the Chief Minister's office in Lucknow today on the occasion of the terrible partition anniversary and Yogi Adityanath will flag off the rally at 5:30 pm. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will pay floral tributes to Sardar Patel's statue at Lucknow's GPO Park. He will also inaugurate an exhibition on the horrors of Partition.
