This time Navjot Singh Sidhu, former Minister in his latest tweet exhorts MLA’s and party workers to “go to Delhi & speak the Truth of Punjab to our High Command”.
With this statement, Sidhu is seen attempting to provoke MLAs to go and meet the party high command against the state CM Captain Amarinder Singh.
It is worth reminding that near the end 2019 Lok Sabha elections campaign in Bathinda, Sidhu claimed that he was willing to pay any price for justice in sacrilege case.
His aim was towards Captain. And Captain objected to this statement of Sidhu and observed that Sidhu is an ambitious man who has his eyes on the seat of CM. Captain claimed that such a statement was unwarranted.
For now, the internal fighting in Congress and the actions of Pargat Singh, MLA and Charanjit Singh Channi, Minister of Technical Education & Industrial Training, have quietened as sources claim that Harish Rawat, former CM Uttarakhand and General Secretary, AICC, I/C Punjab PCC has asked those who have issues with Captain to restrain and that the issue will be resolved within party platform.
Harish Rawat is rumoured to visit Chandigarh for one-to-one meeting with party leaders and may be even the CM.
However, Rawat’s request has gone unheard by Sidhu and with this latest tweet, is Sidhu bypassing Rawat also by referring to the Delhi high command?
