Patiala: Clash between Hindu-Sikh organisations over anti- Khalistan March; SHO injured

Patiala, Punjab: In Patiala, some warm-minded Sikh youths also took out a march against Shiv Sena Bal Thackeray's Khalistan Murdabad March in which they raised slogans of Murdabad while naming Shiv Sainiks as Bandar Sena. 

They said that they would strongly oppose this march of Shiv Sainiks. Hindu organizations and Arya Samaj were to stage a dharna in Patiala today against Khalistan. 

Here the Shiv Sena had made preparations to burn an effigy against Khalistan. On knowing this, Khalistan supporters started protesting. The Sikh organizations of Gurudwara Dukhniwaran Sahib also opposed Hindu protesters. There the police stopped them and sent them back. 

Tension between Hindus & Sikhs in Patiala

Members of Sikh organizations reached the Kali Mata temple with swords. Sticks and naked swords were seen in Singh's hands. Police forces were deployed to control the situation in the city.

He even injured his hand with a sword. After which the SHO has been rushed to the hospital in critical condition. The protest is still going on in Patiala. Police are trying to manage the situation. 

Shri Kali Devi Temple closed for devotees
 
After the brick stone went outside the Shri Kali Devi temple in Patiala, at present, the Shri Kali Devi temple has been closed for devotees and a large number of police forces have been deployed here. 

Here, IG Patiala Range Rakesh Kumar Aggarwal along with DC Sakshi Sahni and SSP Nanak Singh have taken stock of the spot and said that the atmosphere was spoiled after the firing and rumours by the police will be investigated at every aspect level. 

 At present, DC Sakshi Sahni has called a meeting of the leaders of both the organizations to restore a piece. Along with the IG, the DC has appealed to the residents of Patiala to cooperate with the administration in maintaining peace. 

At present, the situation is under control, till this time a police employee and a member of a Sikh organization have been injured.
