The demand for Vande Bharat Express trains and Amrit Bharat Trains has skyrocketed in the Modi 3.0 rule. The demand is such that MPs and MLAs are meeting Indian Railways officials and even Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw so that their constituencies get stoppages in Vande Bharat and Amrit Bharat Train routes. In the meantime, the Centre has been focusing on the development of Bihar ever since Nitish Kumar-led JDU has extended its support to the BJP.
Since Bihar will undergo elections, Indian Railways has planned multiple Vande Bharat Express trains and Amrit Bharat Trains in the state. As per informalnewz, multiple new trains will run from Bihar that will connect the state with Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru. Indian Railways will run about 6 new trains in the next 6 months. This includes many trains including Patna-Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains, and Amrit Bharat Express.
A railway official was quoted by the portal who informed that a New Amrit Bharat can start from Bihar from next week i.e., in the last week of April 2025. This new Amrit Bharat train will run between Saharsa and Mumbai. Earlier, the Amrit Bharat Express train was running on the Darbhanga-Anand Vihar Terminal (ANVT) route.
However, what has kept every Biharis on their toes is Patna-Delhi Vande Bharat Sleeper Train. Patna-Delhi Sleeper Vande Bharat Train is expected to start this year, most probably before the Bihar Elections 2025. At the same time, a proposal has been sent to the Railway Board to run new superfast trains on Pune, Bengaluru, Secunderabad and another route.
