Founder of Vijayanti Sports Bal Krishan Kohli left for his heavenly abode on 1st January 2023 at the age of 87. Bal Krishan Kohli was a big name in Punjab’s sports industry and played a very important role in the sports industry. This can be made out from the enormous gathering that was present to bid him farewell at his Uthaala and Rasam Pagri at Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Hall on the 5th of January, from 2-3 PM.
This is a huge loss for Mrs. Kamal Kohli(wife), Mr. Nitin Kohli and Kapil Kohli(sons), Mrs. Nidhi Kohli and Shweta Kohli(daughter-in-laws), Khyati Kohli & Agrima Kohli(grand-daughters), Rijul Kohli(grand-son), Sagar Walia and Daksh Chawala(grand-son-in-laws) along with other family members. All the big names of Punjab’s Industrial sector, politics, education, etc were present there to pay tribute to Mr. Bal Krishan Kohli. The people present there were MLA Pargat Singh, MP Ashok Mittal, Lovely Group members Ramesh Mittal, Rashmi Mittal, Amit Mittal, MLA Raman Arora, CEO Pyramid e-services Bhavnoor Bedi, MLA Sheetal Angural, SSP Batala Satinder Singh, AAP Media Incharge Himachal Deepak Bali, Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Som Prakash, Dainik Savera owner Sheetal Vij and many others.
Talking about Mr. Bal Krishan Kohli he burnt the midnight oil to build a brand that a personality like Shah Rukh Khan would go on to use in Chak De India and many Indian Hockey Team Captains in some of their most important matches. He dedicated his entire life to the upliftment of sports. Not only this, but also he always extended his helping hand to the people who wanted to work for the development of the business. Over the course of his career, he traveled abroad and learned various modern and essential elements for the development of sports. He implemented these elements for establishing a quality ecosystem for sports, making players ready to be competitive enough to represent at the international arena.

It was his vision and teachings that provided a pace to the sports industry where the business players learned from each other in establishing the industry where it stands today.
His personality will be cherished for a long time for what he has done for the people in the business, standing by those in the need of help was one of his biggest virtues in life. Unfortunately, one of the key businessmen who established the fame of Jalandhar in providing essential sporting gear to the country alongside Meerut post-independence is no more with us. He will always be remembered for his revolutionary contribution to the industry.
