Aam Aadmi Party's Punjab General Secretary Harchand Singh Barsat on Saturday said that the promises made by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal to the people of Punjab during the last assembly elections are being fulfilled one by one.
Harchand Singh Barsat, while addressing the people present in the program organized by Dinesh Dhall, in-charge of Halka Jalandhar North, said that the promise of free electricity made by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to the people has been fulfilled. Now every household in the state is getting zero bill due to 600 units of free electricity per bill. He said that the promise of giving one thousand rupees per month to the women of the state would also be fulfilled soon.
Lashing out at the Congress and the Akali Dal, Barsat said that in the last 30 years, both these parties have completely ruined Punjab. Punjab has a debt of Rs 3 lakh crore, meaning every person has Rs 1 lakh loan. He said that these parties also ruined the public sector institutions. Accusing the Akali Dal, Barsat said that Sukhbir Badal liquidated the Tourism Corporation and sold its properties to his favourites.
Party's candidate for Jalandhar by-poll Sushil Rinku said that the people of the state are impressed with the performance of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in the last one year and fulfillment of guarantees given by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He said that impressed by the AAP government's mohalla clinics, 300 units of free electricity every month, rejuvenation of schools and the government's focus on the students, people are continuously joining the AAP party.
Sushil Rinku said that democracy in the country is being strangled by the Modi government at the Centre. Violating the fundamental rights of the people, cases are being filed against opposition leaders by misusing the government machinery. Innocent people are being put in jails. In this election, the people of Jalandhar will teach the BJP a befitting lesson.
