Today Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) President Navjot Singh Sidhu arrived at Amritsar’s Verka to meet his supporters. He interacted with the supporters and encouraged them. During this, he described himself as a sportsman. He said that he is a sportsman. While being a cricketer, sometimes he got out on zero and sometimes scores a century.

When asked about the defeat, he blamed the outgoing Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for Congress’s defeat in Punjab. He said that when the CM face was announced, he shook hands with Channi and told him that now the responsibility is his.

Navjot said that he always supported Channi and also campaigned for him. When asked about not doing a Campaign outside Amritsar East, he refused to take responsibility for the defeat. He said that it was Channi’s responsibility, not his.

He said that he has sportsmen spirit. Winning or losing is not a question for him. People have voted for AAP for a change and he congratulates them. He also said that people who tried to dig pits in his way fell into it.

The blame game in the Congress Party has started after defeat in the Assembly Elections. Many big names from the party failed to protect their seats against the other candidates.

The result of the Punjab Assembly Elections held on February 20 was declared yesterday, in which AAP won 92 seats and Congress got only 18 out of 117. Navjot Singh Sidhu also lost his seat. After the defeat he tweeted, “The voice of the people is the voice of God …. Humbly accept the mandate of the people of Punjab …. Congratulations to Aap !!!”
