Around 2 million people are in strict lockdown across Perth and Southern-Western Australia, according to report published in The Guardian.
Western Australia imposed restrictions on other Australian states during the pandemic. Now, the states are imposing restrictions on the residents of those areas under lockdown.
From 6pm, Sunday, 31 January 2021 until 6pm Friday, 5 February 2021, the Perth metropolitan area and the Peel and South West regions will enter a 5-day lockdown, according to the data available on official website.
According to the official information, the people of Perth, Peel and South-West have been told to stay at home. People are not allowed to leave if they symptoms of Covid-19 or they can leave their home for getting tested or if they require urgent medical treatment.
The official website also explains who is an essential worker, what are essential health services and who are essential providers.
